Article Review and Evaluation Process
All manuscripts submitted to Aquaculture Nutrition and Feed Science (ANFS) undergo an initial editorial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief to determine their suitability with respect to the journal's aims and scope, originality, scientific quality, ethical standards, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer review process, in which both the identities of the authors and the reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. Each manuscript is normally evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers with recognized expertise in the relevant subject area. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, scientific merit, methodological soundness, significance of the findings, clarity of presentation, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief may reach one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept subject to minor revisions
  • Reconsider after major revisions
  • Reject

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief, taking into consideration the reviewers' recommendations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, and the editorial standards of the journal. ANFS is committed to ensuring a fair, objective, confidential, transparent, and timely peer review process. Editors and reviewers are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all submitted manuscripts.
